Village of Deer Park

The Village of Deer Park, incorporated in 1957, lies in the northwest suburb of Chicago's desirable nature corridor.  Deer Park offers pleasant suburban living with a touch of charm which includes a number of ponds and lakes, small and large, throughout the area, and a rolling open countryside.  Cuba Marsh and Ela Marsh Forest Preserves to the northwest are veritable gold mines for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. The Village's development and zoning laws embrace country characteristics with single-family lots set at a minimum of one acre.  

Transportation

The Village of Deer Park provides easy access to multiple modes of transportation.  It is located just off of Rand Road (Route 12), a major northwest suburban traffic artery which connects the recreational areas of Wisconsin and the diverse metropolitan downtown Chicago.  Nearby, Route 53 provides easy access to Interstate 90 and 290.  The Barrington Metra station is just minutes away which adds rail service for northwest commuters.  And finally, O'Hare International Airport is located only 30 miles southwest of Deer Park.

Education

Deer Park has two public school districts: Lake Zurich Community School District 95 and Barrington Community School District 220.  Deer Park Place is serviced by District 95: Quentin Elementary School, Lake Zurich Middle School and Lake Zurich High School.  Student test scores consistently rank near the top nationally in all subjects with notable excellence in the areas of math and foreign languages.  The great majority of high school seniors continue on to college.  The College of Lake County, a community college, serves the area as it lies just north in the community of Grayslake.

Government Services

The Village of Deer Park's police protection services are provided by the Kildeer Police Department.  Deer Park Places' fire protection is provided by the Lake Zurich Fire Department.  The far eastern part of the village belongs to the Long Grove Fire District and the extreme northwestern sector in Cuba Township belongs to the Barrington Fire District.  All of these fire departments are well equipped.
